Pedestrian & Interior Protection and Component Test Facility

The pedestrian and interior protection test facility is a highly advanced testing resource used for vehicle front structure impact tests with head-, lower- and upper-legforms as well as for impact tests within the vehicle interior.
Sophisticated features enable us to provide an outstanding accuracy in ensuring impact speed and target hit. All impact parameters are recorded during the test and the highest degree of reproducibility is achieved.
High-speed video coupled to an advanced software package enables the results to be analysed within ten minutes after the test has been performed.

Our component testing area allows for bumper testing following all international requirements up to an impact speed of 20 kph, roof and door intrusion tests following US-requirements, knee impact tests against instrument panels, static airbag deployment tests for out-of-position assessment and a lot more on specific request.
